CVSAS is the designated substance abuse service agency providing effective alcohol and other drug outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment services for the Greater Washington County area. CVSAS offers services for adults and adolescents and their families.

CVSAS is also:

The designated site for Vermont’s Alcohol Driver Education Program, the CRASH program, for Washington County
The statewide entry point or “hub” for Buprenorphine (suboxone) induction for opiate addiction

History

CVSAS was founded in 1997 and is a program of the Clara Martin Center, Washington County Mental Health and HowardCenter, representatives of which serve with community members on our Board of Directors. Our staff includes licensed alcohol and drug counselors, licensed clinical mental health counselors, counseling interns, case managers, and a consulting psychiatrist. CVSAS is committed to on-going review of clinical practices using evidence-based tools and practices.
